Marenica’s wholly owned Mile 72 Uranium Project (“Mile 72”) is located in the world class Erongo uranium province in Namibia. Covering 21 square kilometres, it is situated approximately 100 kilometres from the Marenica Uranium Project and only 30 kilometres from the coastal town of Henties Bay.
Mile 72 is an underexplored surficial deposit which Marenica believes has excellent potential to host a substantial uranium resource.

The mineralisation is calcrete hosted, very similar to the Marenica Uranium Project, Paladin Energy’s Langer – Heinrich Project and Deep Yellow’s – Tumas Project, which are all located in Namibia.

Marenica made the decision to purchase Mile 72 following the outcomes of the 2017 Scoping Study on the Marenica Uranium Project, which demonstrated an approximate 50% reduction in capital and operating costs when utilising U-pgrade™ (our patented uranium beneficiation process).
